What a waste...

So I was supposed to go on vacation on Sunday with Dupy. We were going to Atlanta, Georgia and then over to Savannah with his mom, mom's boyfriend, and grandparents. Due to some unfortunate circumstances the vacation has been cancelled. Needless to say I'm super bummed out. I have been working 60 hours a week for 3 months to save up money to go. I've missed out on a lot of time unspent with my family and my friends. I didn't get to do my homework the way I wanted to so but I still managed to pass my classes. I just don't understand why my plans never seem to fall in line. So instead of going to Georgia I will be going to the enchanted town of Sequim, where I will be vacationing with 75% of the senior citizens of Washington state. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll get to ride a pony and have my picture taken with the world's oldest bridge player. Or if I'm really lucky I'll spend another $100 bucks at Walmart shopping for vacation clothes that will never see the light of day. Hmmm...tough one. On a good note, I'm getting a haircut on Thursday, going to a doctor's party on Saturday and possibly having band practice. It should be a hoot. But if I play my cards right band practice will end up falling through for the millionth time and I'll just end up being irritated for the rest of the weekend.

Yesterday was fun, I went to Point Defiance Park and walked up and down the strip overlooking Commencement Bay. It was pretty nice. I put my feet in the water. It was surprisingly clear and even more surprisingly cold. Sydney and I spent a good 30 minutes throwing rocks into the water and making wishes. It was so cute, the first wish she made was "I wish for 2 Shannons!" And then it progressed to like 17 Shannon's and then it wasn't as cute anymore. But it was still kind of cute. Then Aaron, Sydney, and Danielle walked through a drainage pipe that had nasty rusty water running through it. A little too stalker/rapist-esque for my liking. Instead of giving myself Tetanus, I sat on a rock outside of the pipe and wathced them climb through it, saw a little dog take a dump, and tooted a couple of times when I though no one was looking. Overall it was some very much appreciated alone time.

I talked to Faith tonight. I sure do miss her. She's seems pretty excited about Dupy and I going to visit her for a few days. I hope we have fun. She lives near the ocean and a really nice lake so if it's hot I'll be tanning my snow-white ass. No seriously, my ass is really white.

An interesting fact to leave on; I just took a dump about 30 minutes ago and was the shape of a baby's cowboy boot. It was so awesome. I wish I had a picture but I flushed it before I thought of taking one. **Sigh**
